Nepal Telecom had come up with a convenient offer to help out everyone suffering from the COVID-19 outbreak and lockdown in Nepal. NTC Zero balance offer is aimed at helping the people who are deprived of communication due to no or less balance. Although this offer has expired, it was a very helpful gesture from the telecommunications company to assist people. Take a look at how NTC did its part to fight against Corona Virus.
NTC Zero Balance Offer Needs and How-to
Since many people are moving around to a safe place for quarantine, transportation and communication have become essential and scarce. Buses are hard to come by and recharge cards aren’t available easily, as there are very few vendors if any opening their stores. So, with NTC Zero Balance Offer, you could easily call and message others and even browse the internet for a full week.
Not anyone with an NTC sim card could take advantage of this offer. To qualify for the Zero balance offer from Nepal Telecom:
- users must have made at least one call in the first week of lockdown (Chaitra 11 to 18).
- Users must have had less than 33 paisa mobile balance on the mid-night of Baisakh 8,2077.
If these criteria were met, NTC sent a message to the sim cards, and users had to reply within 2 days to get the package for free.
Zero Balance package included the following:
- 7 Days validity
- 100MB internet data
- 50-minute voice call(NTC to NTC)
- 25 SMS(also NTC to NTC)
While there is no confirmation, if ISPs have followed the Government’s order to grant internet extension to customers, NTC has led the charge to assist Nepali customers in any way they can.
