Huawei, after the launch of the Galaxy S10 series, took to Twitter to troll Samsung about their new phones. And the results are hilarious! On Wednesday, Huawei sent out some tweets that poked fun at the different features provided by the Galaxy S10. In the chain of tweets, the Chinese tech giant also taunted their upcoming P30 series and compared them to Samsung’s S10 series.
Huawei, via their official Twitter page, firstly made fun of Samsung’s rather insecure 2D Face Unlock feature. The Chinese tech giant asked people to go ahead of the game with the 3D Face Unlock feature that Huawei offers. Interestingly enough, the 3D Face Unlock feature is not something that Huawei pioneered themselves. We all know a certain fruit company that did!
Something the Samsung Galaxy S10 shamelessly stole, that was pioneered by Huawei, is the Reverse Wireless Charging. If you read our Mate 20 Pro review, you will probably know how much I adore this feature. As a teched-out person, I use this feature a lot! The new Samsung Galaxy S10 has this feature and Huawei called them out on this.
Speaking of which, Huawei also talked about how they were the first to bring the triple camera set up. Sharing, “You finally got into the triple camera club, we’ve already got the best seats” Huawei took a huge jab at the Korean tech giant. Ouch!!
Another tweet from the Shenzhen based company was about battery size. Although a bit minuscule, Huawei compared the 4200mAh battery on the Mate 20 Pro with the 4100mAh cell of the Galaxy S10+. A 100mAh difference, but hey it is true nonetheless!
And finally, Huawei teased their upcoming P30 series of smartphones. In the tweet, the video image looked a lot like the teaser image of the Galaxy S10. Via the video, Huawei called Samsung a standard but not pioneering, among other things. For those unaware, the P30 Series from Huawei will launch on the 26th of March in Paris.
So, what do I think of all this? Well, Samsung has always been infamous for pulling out such marketing stunts over the iPhone. I think, for once, Samsung got a taste of their own medicine. That said, while most of the tweets were hilarious some were quite petty. And also, this doesn’t take away from the fact how amazing the Galaxy S10 series is.
But, that aside, it gives us more the reason to be excited about the upcoming P30 series from Huawei. I can’t wait to see what new features they have in store for us. Like always, we will review these two phones when they officially make their way to Nepal. We will also compare them and give you guys a verdict on which of the two smartphone series is the best. Until then grab some popcorn and enjoy the Twitter feud!
