Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 Specs & Features

Despite performance scores sitting at the top with Qualcomm’s higher-end 845 processors, the 710 processor shipped with a handful of devices. The pricing and performance segment of this processor made it a secondary option for most companies.

Snapdragon 712 isn’t very different from 710 in this regard. The processor is also built with a 10nm process, so there are no significant manufacturing improvements for a remarkable difference. It runs at a clock speed of 2.3 GHz which is a modest improvement over the 2.2 GHz clock speed of the 710.

The Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 712 Mobile Platform is engineered for key experiences on mobile devices: AI, gaming, performance, and power.

A few new features incorporated with the processor doesn’t hover about the performance. The processor features Quick Charge 4+ technology that should charge a phone from 0 to 50 percent in 15 minutes, according to Qualcomm. Snapdragon 712 also delivers a 35 percent improvement in graphics power and power efficiency. However, it is difficult to gauge the actual impact it has on smartphone gaming performance. Running games like PUBG shouldn’t be difficult with this processor, but it’s hard to tell, how these ‘improvements’ will translate to real-world usage.
