XPS 15 2020 Features and Specifications
The Dell XPS 15 comes with the latest 6-core 10th gen Intel Core i7-10750H CPU with top of the line performance. This falls short of the 8-core CPU present in XPS 17. But is the right compromise in performance for a more portable laptop. The balance in performance and size of Dell XPS 15 still makes it a viable choice.
Dell XPS 15 can be maxed out up to 32GB of RAM along with 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. The laptop also comes with a mid-range NVIDIA GTX 1650Ti Max-Q graphics card. Since the cheapest graphics card with ray-tracing features is the RTX 2060, Dell XPS 15 doesn’t come with these features. The GTX 1650ti still handles gaming and most multimedia tasks like video editing very well. But for more graphic and 3D intensive tasks, you have to defer to a workstation PC.
Dell XPS 15 also got its first major design change in the last 5 years. Before this year, Dell XPS 15 launched with incremental changes in hardware specs each year. But now, it has a new chassis along with a new 16:10 InfinityEdge 4K display with 100% Adobe RGB color accuracy. It also has a thinner body along with smaller bezels on its display.
The port selections on XPS 15 2020 is also satisfactory, as it comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and additionals USB-C 3.1 port, and a headphone jack. Creatives like photographers and filmmakers will also appreciate the dedicated full-size SD card slot on XPS 15. The laptop is missing normal USB-A ports and HDMI ports, but includes adapters for them in the box.

Dell XPS 15 will go on sale at a starting price of $1,300 for the base variant with a 4-core 10th-gen Intel i5-10300H CPU, integrated graphics, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. For a more beefy Dell XPS 15, it costs over $2000 to get a 6-core i7, NVIDIA 1650ti GPU and 16GB of RAM.
