Vivo has announced its new flagship X50 series of smartphones called the Vivo X50, Vivo X50 Pro and the X50 Pro+. The two X50 Pro phones come with a unique new camera system never seen in any smartphone before. Vivo X50 Pro Price is at a mid-range level, while the X50 Pro+ is the main flagship smartphone.
Vivo X50 Pro+ Features
Vivo X50 Pro+ is the top-tier flagship phone in the X50 series. It sports a 6.56-inch OLED display along with a Snapdragon 865 processor and max. 12GB RAM.
It is the first phone to come with Samsung’s new 50MP ISOCELL GN1 sensor with 1/1.3″ sensor size. It can capture 12.5 MP photos with a large 2.4µm pixel size resulting in a better low-light performance. To emphasize its night modes, Vivo has even included Super Night Mode and Astro mode in all its X50 phones.
Vivo X50 Pro+ has a total of four cameras which also include a periscope zoom camera with 60x hybrid zoom dubbed Hyper Zoom. It has an 8MP total resolution with a 5x optical zoom. The camera setup includes an 8MP ultra-wide camera along with a 13MP portrait camera with 2x optical zoom. Vivo X50 Pro+ also comes with a front camera with 32MP resolution.

In terms of display and design, Vivo X50 Pro also comes with a similar 6.56-inch AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner. While the X50 Pro+ has a 120Hz refresh rate, X50 Pro display, comes with 90Hz refresh rate. It has the Snapdragon 765G processor along with max. 8GB RAM.
In terms of camera, both Vivo X50 Pro and X50 Pro+ come with a new gimbal stabilization system. It offers a more stable video and photo capture with larger rotation angle and anti-shake area than traditional OIS systems.
As for the camera sensors, Vivo X50 Pro has a usual 48MP Sony IMX 598 sensor rather than the new Samsung sensor. Besides the main camera, other cameras including the wide angle cameras are the same except the periscope style zoom camera. Even the selfie camera is the same with 32MP resolution.
Both Vivo X50 Pro and X50 Pro+ come with a 4,315 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Vivo X50
Vivo X50 is the cheapest of the bunch and has a thin body measuring at just 7.49mm thickness. It comes with a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with the same 1080p resolution.
The standard Vivo X50 doesn’t have the new gimbal style stabilization nor the persicope zoom found in the X50 Pro+.
Vivo X50 also runs on the Snapdragon 765G processor along with a max. 8GB RAM. So, the performance of the X50 is identical to the X50 Pro.
As for cameras, it has a quad-camera setup with 48MP main camera, 13MP 2x zoom camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP macro camera. It has the same 32MP selfie camera as the other two.
Vivo X50 has a 4200mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. Besides the bells and whistles like the gimbal system, it has most of the key features of the series. It even comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Vivo X50 Pro + Price
Vivo X50 Pro+ price is CNY 5,998 ($840) for 12GB/256GB variant. As for the 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants, they cost CNY 4,998 ($700) and CNY 5,498 ($770) respectively.
Vivo X50 Pro Price
Vivo X50 Pro price is CNY 4,298 ($600) for 8GB/128GB variant and CNY 4,698 ($660) for 8GB/256GB variant.
As for the Vivo X50 price, it costs CNY 3,498 ($490) for 8GB/128GB variant, and CNY 3,898 ($550) for 8GB/256GB variant.
