POCOPHONE recently launched the new F2 pro with flagship specs including the Snapdragon 865 processors and 8GB of RAM. However, the phone isn’t priced as attractively as the last year’s favorite POCOPHONE F1. So, the M2 Pro may be the replacement we were looking for. The POCO M2 Pro rumors suggest that the brand is introducing an entirely new series for the budget market, the POCO M-series. The first POCO M2 Pro phone is suspected to launch in the Indian market and cater to the budget customers.
POCO M2 Pro Rumors, Specs, Features
The M2 Pro is listed on Xiaomi India’s offical site which points to an upcoming launch. This isn’t unprecedented as major company websites and shopping sites like Gearbest pre-list these new products to include marketing sections and product info.
Design-wise, the Poco M2 Pro will have an LCD display with a quad-camera setup. Recently, a Xiaomi device was found in China that looked very similar to the POCO X2. It had the same quad-camera setup with a circular design and a plastic back.
In terms of competition, POCO M2 Pro will directly compete with the recently launched Realme Narzo series. The two phones, Realme Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A, have budget specs with good battery. If only the new Poco M2 Pro comes with a 1080p display, it could attract many more users than the Narzo series.
As usual, Xiaomi and POCO are likely going to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor rather than a Mediatek chipset.
POCO M2 Pro Price & Rumored Launch
Previous leaks and rumors suggest that the M2 Pro is likely a budget smartphone that will cost less than the POCO X2. The X2 was priced at INR. 16,999 at launch, so we can conclude that the new Poco M2 Pro will costs close to INR. 12,000 to 13,000.
