If you are late to the party, let me fill you in! I have been using the Huawei Nova 3 for the last month or so. If you have read our full review, which you should, you will probably know how much I adore this phone. It has a lot to offer with a few nit-picky complaints. Priced at Rs 59,900, the phone is one of the better, if not the best, premium mid-tier smartphone in the market right now in Nepal.
With Dashain upon us, it might be the right time to buy this phone for you. Collect all your Dakshina, break all your piggy banks because you will need it. I know, I know, “Dashain ma 60 hajar kole dakshina dincha bro.” I am not saying get the phone with just the Dakshina but let it be a part of your purchase. So with that out of the way, let’s take a look at what you get with all that moolah.
The Huawei Nova 3 has a lot to offer! First and foremost it has an amazing large 6.3-inch Full HD (1080 x 2340) IPS display. Like most phones these days, the Nova 3 comes with a notch sitting atop the display. Something else that makes spending your Dakshina money on this phone worth it is the presence of its quad-cameras. You heard it, right folks! The Nova 3 packs a total of 4 cameras, two on either side of the phone. At the rear, it combines a f/1.8 16MP and a f/1.8 24MP sensor. While at the front, it packs a f/1.8 24MP and a 2MP sensor. The image quality from the shooter was amazing with great details, sharpness, and vibrancy. For the price, you are getting one of the best cameras at this range. The expense will definitely be worth it!
The phone also is a great performer packing in the octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor. For those unaware, the same SoC is found on Huawei’s flagship smartphone, the P20 Pro. The processor will definitely help take on everything that you have to throw at it. And oh, it doesn’t end there! The phone also packs 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage by default. Having all these horsepowers will make gaming on this phone a breeze. Although we don’t recommend it, you can bust a quick PUBG session, without any lag, during this festive gatherings. Just saying!
And having the extra storage will make taking those ga-billion family photos easier. Tihar will come soon so get ready for that! Not to mention, you can further expand this memory via micro-sd card up to 256GB.
This is nice an all, but a phone whose battery doesn’t last long is no good. Luckily, the Nova 3 has got you covered! The phone packs a large 3750mAh non-user removable battery. It can easily handle watching movies, clicking a ton of photos, and occasionally gaming during the festive season. Now not only do you have a multi-media powerhouse but also a battery juggernaut.
So the Huawei Nova 3 is a multimedia powerhouse, takes great pictures, performs well but how does it look and feel? Well, if you were impressed till now get ready to have your minds blown! The Nova 3 look absolutely stunning with its glass-on-glass design sandwiched by a metallic frame. The phone comes in this gradient color finish dubbed the “Iris Purple” which just adds an extra oomph to the device. Although a bit slippery, the phone feels great in the hands! Besides this, the Nova 3 has a feature-packed UI based on Android 8.1 Oreo. It also packs all the basics like a fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock capabilities.
Verdict
The Huawei Nova 3 check all the right boxes that make up a great premium mid-tier smartphone. It has an amazing display, capable 4 cameras set up, smooth performance, feature-packed UI, and an all-day battery life. The phone is definitely worth your hard-earned Dakshina. If you get a favorable amount, and can add some more, the Huawei Nova 3 is one of the better, if not the best, premium mid-tier smartphone, under Rs 60,000, to buy right now in Nepal. Make this festive season bright as the Red variant of the Huawei Nova 3!
