Samsung Nepal has officially launched their latest mid-tier smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus. The phone among other things packs a dual-camera setup, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and an Infinity Display. Besides these, here is everything else the phone has to offer for a starting price of Rs 26,990.
Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus Overview
The Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus packs a 6.0 inches HD+ (720 x 1480) display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. Encasing the internals of the phone is a metallic shell which gives the phone a premium look and feels. Under the hood, the Galaxy J6 Plus packs a quad-core Qualcomm MSM8917 Snapdragon 425 processor along with the Adreno 308 GPU. The SoC is backed by either 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The phone sadly doesn’t come with storage expansion capabilities via a micro-sd card. A bit odd on Samsung’s part!
In the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus packs a dual-camera set up made by a f/1.9 13MP and a f/2.2 5MP sensor. The former is a wide angle lens while the later is used as a depth sensor. For selfies, the phone packs a f/1.8 5MP front camera accompanied by a flash. The phone also packs a fingerprint scanner but, unlike other phones, it is not on either the back or front. Samsung has gone and incorporated the digit sensor, at the side, inside the power key.
At the software front, the Galaxy J6 Plus runs Samsung Experience based on Android 8.1 Oreo. And finally powering the device all up is a 3300mAh non-user removable battery. This coupled with the low-res display will be enough to get users through a day of usage on a single charge.

That said, it is very difficult for us to recommend this phone to you. The lack of a Full HD display, micro-sd card slot, USB Type-C port makes it weak in front of the competition. To top it off, it has a mediocre processor that limits its performance. For the asking price, the phone has a lot less to offer. That said, the Infinity Display, Dual camera set-up, Premium Build, and the side-mounted fingerprint scanner may resonate with some customers. What do you think? Is the phone a great choice for the price it is being offered at? Well, let’s know in the comments down below.
