Honor launched two new phones with its Play 4 series including a mid-range Honor Play 4 and an Honor Play 4 Pro. Honor Play 4 Pro features a flagship-level hardware and features compared to the vanilla Play 4 smartphone. And thus, Honor Play 4 Pro price and specs match those of the flagship killer phones like Redmi K40 Pro and OnePlus phones.
Honor Play 4 Pro Specifications and Features
A key feature of the new Honor Play 4 Pro is the new Infrared Temperature sensor that can measure a person’s body temperature. This is particularly useful in the current scenario of Corona pandemic, where detecting sick people helps to maintain safe distance.
Honor Play 4 Pro sports a 6.57-inch IPS LCD display with 1080p x 2400 pixel resolution. The phone’s display also has a dual-camera hole punch display at the corner. It also sports a gradient back with unique patterns.
As for performance and also gaming, Honor Play 4 Pro has a Kirin 990 processor paired with Mali-G76 graphics unit. The Kirin 990 processor is the flagship processor from Huawei based on a 7nm manufacturing process offering better energy efficiency and performance. Honor Play 4 Pro also comes with an 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 3.0 internal storage.
Honor Play 4 Pro sports a dual camera system at the back and the front. The rear dual cameras include a main 40MP, f/1.8 sensor along with an 8MP telephoto/zoom camera. The 8MP telephoto camera has a 3x optical zoom and OIS support to avoid shaky images and videos. Honor claims that the 40MP camera can capture 40% more light than its traditional counterparts and achieve 204,800 ISO values for bright images in low light.
As for the dual front cameras, one is a 32MP sensor while the other is an 8MP sensor with a wider field of view.
Honor Play 4 Pro has a 4,200 mAh battery with 40W fast charging support. It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner alongside the buttons. The temperature sensor has a measuring range of -4ºF to 212ºF units.
Honor Play 4 Pro Price and Buying details
The phone is only available for China right now with no news of arrival in Nepal yet. Honor Play 4 price is CNY 2899 ($410) for the one without temperature sensor and CNY 2999 ($420) for the one with the temperature sensor.
