In the recent event from Samsung, the company introduced many promising smartphones. The highlight of the event was the launch of Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra. While the vanilla Note 20 was underwhelming, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra sees major improvements for a premium phone. Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra price also matches the plethora of features it comes with, so it’s not for everybody.
Specs & Features
The best way to describe Galaxy Note 20 Ultra would be by listing specs and how they are different and similar to the cheaper Note 20. Galaxy Note 20 Ultra design and build is very different from Note 20 despite the similar looks due to the back cameras. Note 20 Ultra has a curved display, unlike Note 20’s flat display. The bezels are minimal while the back has a glass panel instead of the plastic back of Note 20.
Galaxy Note 20 Ultra display is larger at 6.9-inches with a higher WQHD+ resolution of 1440 x 3088 pixels. The phone also offers a high refresh rate of 120Hz but only in FULL HD resolution.
In terms of performance, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is similar to Note 20, as it also ships with Snapdragon 865+ chipset in the U.S. As for the global market, it will come with Exynos 990, which isn’t as powerful as the 865+. Note 20 Ultra 5G will feature a larger 12GB RAM with a max. 512GB storage option.
Cameras
Galaxy Note 20 Ultra also has a better triple camera system at the back. The main camera is a 108MP camera with OIS support and high resolution. The 12MP zoom camera is also better as it has a 5x optical zoom with a 50x hybrid zoom. The ultrawide camera is the same though with a 12MP resolution. Since the main camera has enough megapixels, Note 20 Ultra can record 8K videos with its main camera instead of its zoom camera.
At the front, the hole-punch on the display has the same 10MP selfie camera.
Another major improvement on Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is its more responsive S-Pen stylus. The latency has dropped to just 9ms which delivers almost no input lag. The battery on the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is slightly bigger with a 4500mAh capacity while it supports 25W fast charging.
