Vatsal Impex, the official distributor of Xiaomi smartphones in Nepal recently launched their latest mid-tier smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi A1. The phone is priced at Rs 29,999 and is unique than the plethora of smartphones Xiaomi offers. The phone is unique because it runs Android One instead of MIUI, which is a standard in all Xiaomi smartphones. The phone also packs some amazing features like a dual camera setup, a premium metallic build, and some powerful internals. That said, here are all the things the Xiaomi Mi A1 brings to the table.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 packs a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 403 PPI. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. The phone comes encased in a metallic shell giving it a premium look and feel. Under the hood, the Mi A1 packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor along with the Adreno 506 GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The A1 also supports dual sim cards but only at the expense of the memory card slot.

In the camera department, the Mi A1 packs a dual-camera set up with a combination of two 12MP sensors with f/2.2 and f/2.6 aperture. The secondary camera, just like the one on the iPhone 7 Plus is used for a 2X optical zoom. There is also a 5MP front camera for all your high-res selfies. The Mi A1 also comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner embedded into its back panel. Other sensors include an accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor and a gyroscope. Software-wise, the phone runs the Android One version of Android 7.1.2 Nougat. And finally powering this device all up is a 3080mAh non-user removable battery. This will be enough to get users a full day worth of battery life without any issues. And if the battery does run out there is the inclusion of Quick Charge and USB Type C port for faster charging time.
