The Vivo V9 Youth offers the same 6.3-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 1080x2280p resolution with a pixel density of 400ppi. The phone comes with a tall FullView 2.0 Display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch. When it comes to design, the Vivo V9 Youth looks almost the same as the Vivo V9. That being said, the device itself looks captivating with an 85.2% screen-to-body ratio. The phone weighs just 150g which is the sweet spot for a phone.

On the optics, the phone houses a 16MP+2MP dual rear camera instead of 16MP+5MP on the Vivo V9. Note that there’s no 4K video recording! The selfie camera is a new 16MP snapper instead of the 24MP of the V9. The key highlight of the smartphone is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with AI integration and dual cameras at the back. It is also equipped with facial recognition technology.

Under the hood, the V9 packs a 1.8 GHz Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor along with the Adreno 506 GPU. The processor is backed by 4GB of RAM for smooth multi-tasking. Onboard the Vivo V9 Youth is 32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card up to 256GB. The phone also supports dual-sim cards and is 4G compatible.

Running FunTouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, the smartphone is backed by a 3260mAh battery. This without a doubt will be enough to get users through a day of usage on a single charge. The 3.5mm headphone jack is still present on the V9 Youth but it lacks the Type-C USB port.
