It’s official! Xiaomi has officially launched its latest budget smartphone, the Redmi 7A in Nepal. The series has always been about providing the best value for money. And with the current iteration, the Chinese tech giant doesn’t fail to impress. For a price of Rs 11,500, here is everything the phone has to offer.
Redmi 7A Overview
The Redmi 7A packs a 5.45-inches HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone packs a Qualcomm SDM439 Snapdragon 439 processor along with the Adreno 505 GPU. The SoC is backed by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. This storage can be further expanded via a micro-SD card up to 256GB.
In the camera department, the Redmi 7A packs an f/2.2 12MP Sony IMX486 rear camera with PDAF. It also comes with an f/2.2 5MP front camera for all your selfies. Sadly, this time too, the phone doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner. This inclusion would have been great! The phone, nonetheless, comes with AI Face Unlock as a form of security.
“We are thrilled to bring in our all-new Redmi 7A to Mi Fans in Nepal. Packed with a set of incredible features, Redmi 7A offers a solid 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor camera experience and is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 clocked at 2GHz. Furthermore, Redmi 7A holds a 4000mAh battery which is first of its kind in a Redmi A-series smartphone. Since we believe that we hold the highest quality standards, we are giving 2 years warranty for Redmi 7A. Serving as the new benchmark of innovation with honest pricing, we are positive that Redmi 7A will bring greater value to all our Mi Fans and those looking for enhanced smartphone experience.” – Sourabh Kothari, Country General Manager, Nepal
Talking about the software, the Redmi 7A runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie. And finally powering the device all up is a large 4000mAh non-user removable battery. This coupled with the HD display will be enough to power the phone for days.
