Telecell Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor of Oppo smartphones in Nepal, recently launched their latest flagship smartphone the Oppo F5 here. The phone, like the trends of today, sports an 18:9 aspect ratio display and a selfie centered camera. That included, here are all the things the phone brings to the table for a price of Rs 33,990.
The Oppo F5 is the latest addition to Oppo’s F line up of smartphones. Like its predecessor the phone too it heavily focused on selfies and thus the title “selfie expert and leader”. But unlike anything from Oppo, the F5 sports an almost bezel-less 6.0-inch Full HD (1080*2160) LTPS IPS display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. This lack of bezel aids Oppo in fitting a phablet-sized display in a normal sized body by today’s standard. Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T Helio P23 processor along with the Mali-G71MP2 GPU. Backing the core is 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB internal storage. The memory capacity of the phone can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB.

Oppo is known for their cameras-selfie cameras to be more precise. No matter what the phone, Oppo smartphones usually tend to have a superior selfie camera. The Oppo F5 is no exception as it packs a f/2.0 20MP front-facing camera. The shooter is further aided by tons of software tweaks including an AI backing. The Oppo F5 also has a f/1.8 16MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash. Below the camera is a fingerprint scanner embedded into the phones back panel. Other sensors include an accelerometer, a proximity sensor, digital compass, and a gyroscope. Moving on, software-wise the phone runs ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. And finally powering the device all up is a 3200mAh non-user removable battery. This, without a doubt, will be enough to get users a full day of usage on a single charge.
