Oppo, the self-proclaimed “selfie expert and leader”, had recently launched the camera-centric Oppo A3s with a huge 4320mAh battery. Now, the phone is available for the Nepalese customers! Under the Rs. 20,000 range, is the phone worth it? Let’s find out.
“Through Oppo A3s, we are trying to fill the gap especially concerning today’s youths — a smartphone with advanced features like a dual camera set-up, a super full screen, and extensive battery—yet at an affordable price. With a strong battery life, users will be able to capture moments all day with the new Oppo A3s” said Bobby Zhao, CEO of Oppo Nepal.
Oppo A3s Overview
At the price point, the phone looks premium and the back panel looks quite compelling. The downgraded version of Oppo A3 comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ ‘Super Full Screen’ in-cell IPS display with a 720x1520p resolution. The 19:9 aspect ratio display has 88.8% screen-to-body-ratio. Powering the device is an octa-core Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 processor which we have seen in Redmi 5, Samsung Galaxy A6+ and Samsung Galaxy J8, earlier this year.
The 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant of the phone is launched in Nepal. The 16GB storage might seem obsolete today, however, the storage can further be upgraded to 256GB via a microSD card.
In terms of optics, the Oppo A3s comes with dual camera setup on the rear panel with a primary sensor of a 13MP and secondary sensor of 2MP coupled with an LED flash. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone packs an 8-megapixel sensor which has support for AI Beauty technology 2.0.
