Believe it or not, the latest mid-range smartphone from OnePlus, the new OnePlus Nord is up for pre-order in Nepal. The phone is scheduled to launch in select countries including India in August. As for Nepal, Oliz store is now accepting pre-orders for the OnePlus Nord phone with no definite delivery date. The OnePlus 8 phones are still not available in Nepal, but OnePlus Nord offers a cheaper alternative with a similar build and features.
Features & Specifications
The display on OnePlus Nord is a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel that features a high refresh rate of 90Hz. It has a punch-hole design that comes with dual selfie cameras. OnePlus Nord looks very similar to other phones on the market, with its vertical camera bump and glossy back. This gives it a familiar feeling and aesthetic even though early design prototypes looked more interesting.
The biggest feature difference in OnePlus Nord from the usual OnePlus lineup is the mid-range processor. OnePlus Nord now comes with a Snapdragon 765G chipset instead of the Snapdragon 800 series processor in OnePlus 8 phones. Despite the mid-range label, OnePlus claims that OnePlus Nord is capable of handling most tasks with a smooth performance like a flagship.
OnePlus is offering the Nord phone in three different RAM/storage configurations: (6GB, 64GB), (8GB,128GB) and (12GB,256GB). As for Nepal, only the mid 8GB/128GB RAM and storage variant is available for purchase.
OnePlus Nord offers a decent camera system not so different from OnePlus 8. It has a quad-camera system which features a 48MP IMX586 camera sensor as its primary shooter. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera.
As for the front dual selfie cameras, one is a 32MP sensor while the other is an 8MP ultra-wide selfie camera.
OnePlus Nord comes with Android 10 software with OxygenOS skin on top with a close to stock feel. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint scanner to make it a complete package. It comes with a 4115 mAh battery with support for Warp Charge 30T.
OnePlus Nord Price in Nepal
The phone is available for pre-orders via the Oliz store website. TheOnePlus Nord price in Nepal is Rs. 53,999 for 8GB/128GB variant. As for India, the phone costs Rs. 24,999 for 6/64GB variant, and Rs. 27,999 for 8GB/128GB variant. The most expensive 12GB/256GB variant costs Rs. 29,999.
