OnePlus has always been about creating flagship smartphones that cost a fraction of the price collated to their competitors. But this time around, OnePlus has strayed away from that path to create something that is very industrial and expensive than its predecessor. It ditches its old design philosophy to go head to head with the growing competition.
Dual cameras are the trend of today and the OnePlus 5 certainly keeps up with it. There is no denying it that the dual camera on the back of the phone is very reminiscent of the one found on the iPhone 7 Plus. That said, the phone still looks great in its own respect. The OnePlus 5 at the core still has all the feature set that will get a true stock Android fan gushing over it. Oxygen OS based on Android 7.1.1 looks better than ever with tons of new features and small tweaks. The OnePlus 5 truly has evolved both in terms of hardware and software. Whether that is good or bad, the customers have to decide for themselves. But not diving into the past of OnePlus, the OP5 is a great offering which nails almost all aspects of a good smartphone.
The OnePlus 5 may not be a flagship killer anymore but it is still a killer flagship. Nonetheless, the offerings of the OnePlus 5 are very impressive and we can’t wait to get our hands on it. And when we do we will make sure to give you guys our initial impressions, full written review, and also the video review of the phone.
