Huawei P10 Plus: Price, Specs and Initial Impressions

Huawei Mobile Nepal recently launched the Huawei P10 Plus here for a staggering price of Rs 79,000. It packs all the feature set that makes for a great smartphone without the need of any bells and whistle. Here are some of the facets the phone brings to the highlight for the premium price.

The Huawei P10 Plus is the larger version of the regular Huawei P10 which sadly didn’t make it here. It packs a 5.5 inch Quad HD IPS-NEO LSD display with a pixel density of 540PPI. This pixel-dense display comes encased in an aluminum shell which is very reminiscent of its predecessor, the Huawei P9. That is a good thing since the P9 already had a good design philosophy and a pleasant in-hand feeling. Under the hood, the P10 Plus packs an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 960 coupled with the Mali-G71MP8 GPU. The processor is backed by either 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The Huawei P10 Plus flaunts a Leica branded dual camera setup. It is a combination of a f/1.8 12MP and a 20MP sensor, of which the latter is a monochrome sensor. The cameras also come with OIS and a dual tone LED flash. This tag-team will definitely provide some great looking images and videos. In the software side of things, the phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat with Huawei’s own custom skin Emotion UI 5.1 overlaid on top of it. Sensor-wise, the phone has a front mounted fingerprint scanner and also all the expected ones like an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, and a compass. Finally, powering the device all up is a 3750mAh non-user removable battery. This will be enough to get users a full day worth of battery life without any issues. There is also the inclusion of USB type-c port and fast charge to make charging the phone much easier.

The Huawei P10 Plus from the looks of it is a great smartphone. It has all the components that make for a great smartphone without any other bells and whistle. It is a phone that simply works and works great! The phone is available for you to buy right now from any Huawei retail shops around the nation. Along with the phone, Huawei is packing tons of feature and service packages. Services like 2 hours VIP repair and 3-months accidental breakage insurance comes with the purchase of the phone. Not only that but Huawei Nepal is also offering a lens kit and 1GB of free Ncell data per month to make the experience of using the Huawei P10 Plus that much greater. This looks to be a pretty good bargain but one could argue about its steep price tag.
