Recent research from Strategy Analytics showed that the Samsung Galaxy A51 is the best selling Android smartphone for the first quarter of 2020. The phone is a mid-range smartphone with a good battery and quad camera features. Samsung shipped more than 6 million units of Galaxy A51 smartphone worldwide. The total global smartphone sales reached a total of 275 million in Q1 2020. So, the Galaxy A51 shipments took around a 2 percent share of the overall smartphone sales.
The second place is taken by another favorite, the Xiaomi Redmi 8. This also comes under a budget as the Redmi series still manages to attract plenty of customers. The most prominent smartphones for the first quarter of 2020 are shown in the graph as follows:
Among the Android segment, Samsung took 4 of the top 6 positions worldwide in Q1 2020, while Xiaomi grabbed two. Samsung’s A51 smartphone is popular in all regions, particularly across Europe and Asia.

Samsung Galaxy A51 Feature Overview
The Galaxy A51 has a 6.5-inch SuperAMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. It also has a signature Inifinity-O look which is a punch-hole cutoout at the top for the front camera.
It runs on an Exynos 9611 processor and comes with a 6GB RAM. Galaxy A51 also has 128GB internal storage expandable with a microSD card. The phone comes with a 4000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
Galaxy A51 cameras include a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP main camera. The other sensors include a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. The front camera is a 32MP sensor with plenty of resolution for details.
Galaxy A51 has a feature set that consists of a long lasting battery, a decent camera system and a mid-tier processing power. This makes it an attractive choice for users, justifying the recent sales numbers.
