Xiaomi has launched yet another mid-tier smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro. The phone, among other things, packs the infamous notch and a rear dual-camera set up. Besides these, here is everything the phone has to offer for a starting price of $153.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Overview
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro packs a 5.84 inches Full HD Display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Sitting on the top side of the display is the infamous notch. Love it or hate it, it’s here! And encasing the internals of the phone is a metallic shell which gives it a premium touch.
Under the hood, the Redmi 6 Pro packs a 2.0 GHz octa-core Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 processor along with the Adreno 506 GPU. The processor is backed by 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The storage of the phone can be further expanded via a microSD card up to 256GB.
In the camera department, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro packs a dual-camera set up made by a 12MP and a 5MP lens. The phone also packs a 5MP front camera for all your social media ready selfies. And sitting just below the rear cameras is a fingerprint scanner embedded into the phone’s back panel. Moving on, at the software front, the Redmi 6 Pro runs MIUI 9.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. And finally powering this device all up is a large 4000mAh non-user removable battery. This without a doubt will be enough to get users through a day of usage on a single charge.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro Price and Availability
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is priced at $153 for the base version (3/32GB). The other two variants, 4/32GB, and 4/64GB variants are tagged at $185 and $200, respectively. The phone is available in five color options- Black, Blue, Gold, Rose Gold, and Red.
