Xiaomi has launched a new variant of the Redmi 9 in India called the Redmi 9 Prime. Redmi 9 Prime price starts at a sweet spot of Rs 10,000 in India. It features a Mediatek processor along with a big high res display and battery.

The phone has a unibody design with circular accents around the camera bump. It has a 6.53-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The panel also is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
Redmi 9 Prime is powered by the Mediatek Helio G80 processor that is optimized for gaming with a max clock speed of 2.0GHz. It also features a 4GB LPDDR4x RAM along with 64GB and 128GB storage options. The storage is expandable via a microSD card.
The phone features a quad-camera setup at the back including an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro camera. The quad-camera also consists of a 12MP primary camera with an f/2.2 aperture. As for the selfie camera, the notch houses the 8MP front camera in Redmi 9 Prime.
The fingerprint scanner sits just below the back cameras in a seamless black bar. Redmi 9 Prime is also a long-lasting phone as it packs a 5,020mAh battery. It also supports 18W fast charging but the phone sells with only a 10W fast charger.

The phone just launched in the Indian market and is unlikely to arrive in the Nepali market anytime soon. The Redmi 9 prime price in India starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 4/128GB variant. The 4GB/128GB variant costs Rs. 11,999.
