The phone has a misleading yet impressive design and build. Its display notch looks like it houses dual front cameras although there is only one present. Bezels around the display are thin and the phone boasts a 91% screen-to-body ratio. Honor 9X Lite display measures at 6.5-inches and comes with an IPS LCD panel. It has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Honor 9X Lite performance sits somewhere in the middle of the mid-range lineup. It features Huawei’s own Kirin 710F processor with a Mali G51 graphics unit. It has a max. boost clock speed of 2.2GHz, so it fares well in most cases. The hardware also is paired with 4GB RAM along with 128GB internal storage.
At the back, the phone features a dual-camera setup with a 48MP, f/1.8 main camera. The second camera is a 2MP depth sensor which isn’t that impressive as every phone these days comes with one. As for the front camera, it has a single 8MP camera for selfies.
Honor 9X Lite features a few promising features like its camera and display but still struggles to compete in terms of performance and battery. The phone features a 3,750mAh battery with no mention of fast charging options. The absence of fast charging and use of the outdated micro USB is disappointing, to say the least. Honor 9X Lite still packs a convenient fingerprint scanner at the back, so the phone does cover most of the basic features.
