When looking for a good mid-tier smartphone under Rs 21,000, right now, you will probably come across two names- the Huawei Y7 Pro 2018 and the Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt. These two phones may come with a similar price tag but they are worlds apart. In the last article, we talked about 5 reasons why the Y7 Pro 2018 is better than the J7 Nxt. So in this one, we are going to talk about 5 reasons why the Samsung J7 Nxt is better than the Huawei Y7 Pro 2018.
Display
Although the Samsung J7 Nxt doesn’t pack a fancy 18:9 near bezel-less display, the one it packs is damn good. The 5.5-inch AMOLED display that the phone sport is amazing! Like all AMOLED display’s the panel provides superior contrast and deep blacks. It also offers eye-popping vibrancy, which I frankly prefer. The panel also gets brighter than the one present on the Y7 Pro 2018. This acts as a boon especially outdoors, when the light falls directly on the display.
Removal Battery
I have always been a huge fan of removal batteries! I still reminiscent the days when I used to use the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The large battery combined with the removal part made it one lovable power-house. This same feeling has descended on to the Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt! The phone packs a 3000mAh battery that can be swapped in for a new one. This feature is especially useful while traveling to places where there is no easy access to power outlets. Just swap the dead battery for the new one- and you are good to go. The Y7 Pro 2018, on the contrary, packs a non-removal battery, which I less prefer.
Price
Both the J7 Nxt and the Y7 Pro 2018 comes in roughly at the same price. But the J7 Nxt is slightly cheaper at Rs 17,900 while the Y7 Pro 2018 comes in at Rs 20,900. This makes the J7 Nxt Rs 3000 more affordable than its Huawei counterpart. If you have a slightly tight budget, the Samsung J7 Nxt will be a more viable choice. Besides the price, Samsung smartphones, in general, have better support and service. In case of mishap, you are more likely to finds parts for Samsung smartphones, in this case, the J7 Nxt, than the Y7 Pro 2018.
User Interface
Many people gush over stock Android and its simplicity! I for one find the bare-bone Android a bit boring. The Samsung Experience on the J7 Nxt, on the other hand, looks appealing to me. I know, it might not be the most popular opinion but it is what it is. The custom UI from Samsung has gradually improved over time. And the UI on the J7 Nxt is the prime result of this evolution. Although EMUI, on the Y7 Pro 2018, is feature-packed I prefer the UI of the J7 Nxt. It also, by default, has this swipe up feature which I much prefer rather than the everything on the home screen approach.
Performance
One of the strong points of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt is its performance. The phone, with its Exynos 7870 processor, outperforms the Y7 Pro 2018. It is relatively smooth than its Huawei counterpart. The gaming, too, on the J7 Nxt is much better with minimal amount lags and dropped frames. The Y7 Pro 2018, on the other hand, faced a lot of dropped frames and lags during gaming. This is kind of a bummer of Huawei’s part! For gameplay, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt is a better choice, no doubt!
Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt vs Huawei Y7 Pro 2018
So, these were some of the reasons why the Samsung Galaxy J7 Nxt is better than the Huawei Y7 Pro 2018. That said, both these phones are excellent devices and come in roughly at the same price. There is no doubt, users will be more satisfied with the purchase of any of the two smartphones.
