Samsung has released an incremental update to the leader of its mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A50. Samsung Galaxy A50 brought a great deal of success with exciting design and specs. The new Galaxy A50s has launched to improve on the A50 by introducing upgraded cameras, and performance. Moreover, Samsung Galaxy A50s price in Nepal is similar to the launch price of the A50, so there isn’t much of a premium for the upgrades.
Samsung Galaxy A50s Features, Specs
The look and feel of the Galaxy A50s isn’t that different from the A50. It has a shiny back body with a vertical camera bump at the back. The display has an edge-to-edge design with a minimal U-infinity notch display. Galaxy A50s screen is a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with 1080p resolution. The vivid display has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio that extends to the sides, and ends before the bottom chin.
Galaxy A50s now comes with the Exynos 9611 chipset that pairs very well with 6GB RAM being offered in Nepal. The hardware specs give it a well-rounded performance boost from its predecessors.
Galaxy A50s Cameras
One of the major upgrades for the new Galaxy A50s is the new cameras. Galaxy A50s now has a triple camera setup at the back with a 48MP main camera. The other two cameras include an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP depth sensor camera. Since the new 48MP camera uses the Sony IMX582 sensor, the images produced are on par with other flagship killer phones.
As for the selfies, the front camera is a 32MP f/2.0 sensor that captures crisp images. The numbers alone show that the cameras on A50s should perform very well.
Samsung isn’t really known for swift software updates, especially to its non-flagship phones, so the new Galaxy A50s software is still the Android 9.0 Pie from last year. Though, the new Android 10 upgrade should come soon, with further update support.
Overall, the new Galaxy A50s has caught up to the latest trends and has set itself apart with new features. It has the usual face-unlock features and the exciting under-display fingerprint scanner for security. It also has a long battery life with its 4000mAh battery. The phone only supports fast-charging up to 15W which is a bummer, but apart from that, the battery game is solid for the Galaxy A50s.
Samsung Galaxy A50s Price in Nepal
At the time of the launch, the Samsung Galaxy A50s price in Nepal is Rs. 42,190 for the 6GB/128GB RAM and storage configuration. Samsung has other brands like Xiaomi and OnePlus beat in terms of price with similar specs, so the new A50s is a serious phone to consider this Dashain.
