Talking about the software side of things, both the 8 and 8A runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie. The new MIUI 11 update will also make its way to the phones. Finally, fueling these devices is a large 5000mAh non-user removable battery. The cell is backed by an 18W Fast charger and a USB Type-C port on both phones.
