MIUI 10 Non-Eligible devices
Xiaomi has already set a course-plan for all of its devices regarding the future MIUI custom ROM updates via OTA update or through flashing. Sadly, Xiaomi has stated that MIUI 9 will be the last major update for six of its devices. In fact, the company has already stopped the development of MIUI 9. The six unfortunate smartphones are:
- Mi 2/2S
- Mi 4i
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G
- Note 3
- Redmi 2 Prime
- Mi Note
The obvious reason for dropping the updates for this devices is to make sure that MIUI 10 runs smoothly. But these devices seems pretty obsolete and unfitting for the MIUI 10 update.
MIUI 10 Release Date
Xiaomi has revealed on their website that it’s going to launch its next iteration of MIUI version alongside, its flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 8. That being said, it can be speculated that the Mi 8 could be the first handset to be loaded with MIUI 10.
The aforementioned devices will get the MIUI 10 update via OTA. Xiaomi, however, plans to roll over the update sequentially taking some time. So, it may take two or three months for eligible devices to receive the update. But if you have already planned to get the MI 8, you will be lucky enough to experience the MIUI 10 firsthand.
