Huawei has launched a new budget smartphone in its Y-series, the new Huawei Y8s. The phone has come along after a long wait and comes with two-selfie cameras at the front. It features a big screen and battery along with high-res cameras. Huawei Y8s price is likely to follow its predecessors and come under a low budget.
Huawei Y8s Features & Specifications
It comes with a familiar round edge design and a big notch at the top of the display. The notch resembles iPhone X’s notch design, necessary for the space needed to place two selfie cameras. Huawei Y8s screen measures at 6.5-inches and sports a TFT LCD screen with FULL HD+ resolution.
It comes with Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 710 chipset along with a Mali-G51 MP4 graphics processor. Huawei Y8s also has a 4GB RAM and comes with 64GB and 128GB storage options. The storage is easily expandable via a microSD card.
Huwaei Y8s uses its front cameras to distinguish itself from the crowd. The dual-front cameras consist of an 8MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. By using these together, you can take portrait-style selfies featuring blurred backgrounds. As for the main cameras at the back, the phone features a dual-camera setup that consists of a 48MP main camera and a 2MP macro camera.
Huawei Y8s is certainly a budget-oriented phone, but that hasn’t stopped Huawei to include a big battery. It comes with a 4,000 mAh battery for rough full day usage. It is still disappointing to see that the phone doesn’t come with a USB-C charging port or fast charging.
Huawei Y8s Price & Availability
Huawei Y8s price hasn’t been unveiled yet, but the phone should cost around $200 or Rs. 20,000 in Nepal. The latest prices will be updated as the phone is available on sale in the near future.
