First and foremost, it scored a record high on DxOMark’s camera test, scoring a whopping 112. It also bagged a TIPA World Award as the Best Photo Smartphone. And even recently, we hear that the P30 series broke Huawei’s previous records by selling 10 million units in just 85 days. That is really amazing!
Even in Nepal, the Huawei P30 Pro caused a sensation at the time of its launch. Many people were eager to try out their new quad-camera set up. People applauded the phone and its capabilities!
The same goes for us! We here at Phones In Nepal have been gushing over the Huawei P30 Pro. And having used it for almost 2 weeks now, the hype justifies the phone. We absolutely love it!

The phone is a perfect blend of the latest technology and fine art. It looks absolutely amazing with a gradient glass back and a metallic chassis. The form factor also is not too big, nor too small. It has a perfect size! Sitting at the center of it all is a 6.47 inches FHD OLED display with HDR 10 compliance. I had an amazing time watching movies, playing games on the phone.
And that’s not all! The phone is as powerful as it is beautiful. Packing an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor alongside 8GB RAM, the phone performed extremely well. I faced no sorts of issues in my day to day usage of the phone. With a powerful SoC, capable Mali-G76 MP10 GPU, and a kickass display, the gaming performance on the phone was pretty amazing. Playing games like Asphalt 9 and PUBG was a breeze.
The cameras on the Huawei P30 Pro are in a class of its own. There are not two, not three, but a total of four cameras on the phone. The Quad-set up consists of an f/1.6 40MP wide lens, an f/2.2 20MP ultra-wide lens, an f/3.4 8MP Periscope lens, and a TOF (Time of Flight) lens. Without getting into much detail, I would like to express how amazing the cameras are. I was completely blown away by them! Speaking of which, the 50x zoom is another feature that surprised me. You can grab a quick snap of a monument a couple of miles away.

Moving on, the software of the P30 Pro is quite amazing too. Huawei has made proper use of Android 9.0 Pie in the form of EMUI 9.1. It is more feature packed than ever! Other features worth mentioning is the in-display fingerprint scanner, IR blaster, and the IP68 rating. These all are great features to have!
And finally, the phone has a large 4200mAh non-user removable battery. During my usage, the battery life has been quite amazing. I got around 6-7 hours of on-screen time on a single charge. And speaking of amazing, the phone also packs a 40W Fast Battery Charger out of the box. This adapter can do 70% in just 30 minutes. I mean, how cool is that?

So, with all that, is the Huawei P30 Pro the best smartphone available in the market right now? Well, in our opinion, it is. It undoubtedly is ahead of the curve with the best in class hardware and software. The phone also has a ground-breaking camera set up that puts its competitors to shame. It is just that good!
