In our previous review, we put the Huawei FreeBuds 3 through its paces. We concluded by saying that it has one of the best audio capabilities among any earbuds out there in the Nepali market. Besides the audio, there are a lot of other things to like about the Huawei FreeBuds 3. Among the many, here are some of our picks on the best features of the earbuds.
Charging Case
The Huawei FreeBuds 3 has one of the most versatile charging cases out there. It is compact, pocketable, and packs a punch. The pebble shape of the case makes it more appealing. The magnet that holds the case shut is just sturdy enough. It is not flimsy or difficult to open with one hand. Talking about power, the case packs a beefy 410mAh battery. It is enough to give the earbuds a total of 20 hours of playback. The case undoubtedly is one of the best features of the FreeBuds 3 and adds a lot of value to it.
Gestures
Something that makes the FreeBuds 3 special is its support for gestures. By default, the double-clicking of the right bud will allow you to skip ahead be it for music or video. Interacting with the left bud, on the other hand, will allow you to control the noise cancelation.
The Buds also pairs with an app dubbed the Huawei AI Life. With it, you can customize the gestures of the bud to your liking. This helps the buds be a truly wireless set up, without having to interact too much with the phone, while listening to some music.
Personally, I am very grateful to have gestures. It is always a chore for me to fumble around with my phone just to skip the song (I do that a lot). So I have the right bud set up to skip to the next song while I have programed the left to quickly pause the music. This helps me quickly stop the music when I want to talk to someone.
USB Type-C and Wireless Charging
Thank god-o-heaven that Huawei chose to go with using the USB Type-C to charge the buds. This has seriously made my life much easier. One cable to rule them all!
While mosts wireless buds are keeping their ancient micro USB Type-2.0, the FreeBuds 3 comes with a USB Type-C port. This is important because I can charge the device directly with my phone charge. No need to go digging around for a different charging cable.
Adding to that, the Buds 3 also supports wireless charging. You can use any Qi-standard wireless charger to power-up the device. Adding to the convenience, it also can be charged through Reverse Wireless Charging present on many flagship phones including the Mate 30 Pro.
Besides these, the FreeBuds 3 still has many amazing features worthy of talking about. Things like the amazing Kirin A1 chip and the superb noise-canceling capabilities. More on those in our next article on the Huawei FreeBuds 3.
