This is a great addition for those who were forced to stand in a long queue or use the complex connectIPS app. But the question still remains, “How to pay tax using eSewa?”. I think this question has been lingering in all our minds ever since we heard the new. So in this article, we will be going over the steps on how you can pay your tax using eSewa.
Steps to Pay IRD Tax Using eSewa
Step 1: Go to the Inland Revenue Department Website (Best to use Mozilla Firefox)
Step 2: Scroll down and click on “Taxpayers Portal”.
Step 3: A new window will open with the list of E-Services. Expand the General option and click on Taxpayer Login
Step 4: Fill in your PAN number and log in using your username and password (This is provided by IRD).
Step 5: Once you are logged in, click on the “Payment Voucher Option”.
Step 6: In the screen choose Everest Bank as the bank to deposit the amount to.
Step 7: Next add in the Type of Tax, Revenue Title, Type of Tax Payment, Amount, Fiscal Year, and TDS at the source.
Step 8: Click on the Generate Code Button.
Step 9: Copy the Code provided and head on over to the eSewa website/app.
Step 10: Head on over to the New Services and click on “Financial Comptroller General Office”.
Step 11: Next, enter the code generated from the IRD Website into the EBP Number Field. Enter the amount you want to pay and click on check.
Step 12: Check if all the details shown are correct and click on the proceed button.
Step 13: Enter your T-Pin or use biometrics to verify payment depending on how you have set up eSewa.
Step 14: Go to the IRD Website and Check if the payment shows up under Transaction – List Payments.
