The Gionee M30 is a newly announced budget mid-ranger phone that pairs obsolete specs with a ridiculously large battery. The phone also has a unique design that leans more towards a gaming aesthetic. Take a look at the detailed specs and features along with the Gionee M30 price below.
Features & Specs
One of the pros of the new Gionee M30 is its edgy design and build. It has an aluminum build along with a leather material at the back. The phone is instantly recognizable, however, the design is going to be a total hit or miss for many. Gionee M30 display measures at 6.0-inches and sports an IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution. The display doesn’t have a notch as it doesn’t try to minimize its bezels as much.
Gionee M30 packs a Mediatek Helio P60 processor along with Mali G72 GPU. The phone also offers 8GB RAM with 128GB flash storage. Although the Helio P60 processor is dated, it packs 8 cores with max. 2.0 GHz clock speeds. However, the processor is less power efficient due to its older 12nm based design.
Camera specs on Gionee M30 isn’t that impressive, as it packs a 16MP main camera at the back alongside an LED flash. As for the front camera, it uses a 16MP camera for selfies.
The fingerprint scanner is clearly defined at the back of the phone just below the main camera. It has a 10,000 mAh battery with a 25W fast charging support. Even though it features an older processor, the phone should still last a while with such an abundant charge.
Gionee M30 Price & Release date
Like most new smartphones, Gionee M30 is going on sale on August 31 in China initially. Gionee M30 price is set at CNY 1,399 (~$200). Despite the low price, the appeal of the phone is there with its large battery and design. However, the small screen and camera specs seem lackluster against its competition.
