Asus has updated its Zenfone lineup with the new Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro flagship devices. Both phones offer the latest hardware for better performance along with a rotating camera design. The phones deliver a more simplistic design than the ASUS ROG gaming phones but still have a unique design to separate itself from the crowd. Features & Specs
In terms of design, the rotating cameras at the back instantly set it apart from the rest. It also has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The screen has Gorilla Glass 6 protection with a high refresh rate of 90Hz and HDR 10+ content support.
Asus Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro differences show in their hardware performance, as the Zenfone 7 Pro features the latest Snapdragon 865+ processor. On the other hand, vanilla Asus Zenfone 7 has the older Snapdragon 865 processor. The RAM and storage configs also differ as Asus Zenfone 7 Pro comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage while Zenfone 7 offers a 6GB/8GB RAM with 128GB onboard storage.
The rotating camera on Asus Zenfone 7 phones are unorthodox for the market but have their uses. For instance, the back camera can completely flip back for selfies with superior image quality than any other front camera available out there. Zenfone 7 cameras include a triple camera setup with a 64MP main camera. There is also a 12MP ultra-wide camera along with an 8MP zoom lens with a 3x optical zoom. The main 64MP camera can record 8K videos at 30fps and slo-mo videos in 4K at 120fps. Although both phones have the same camera sensors, Zenfone 7 Pro packs OIS in both wide-angle and zoom cameras.
Asus Zenfone 7 phones run on Android 10 with ZenUI 7 on top. The phones have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics. There’s also a large 5000mAh battery that supports a 30W fast charging option.

The phone recently launched in Taiwan with a scheduled global release in September. The vanilla Asus Zenfone 7 price starts at $750 while the Zenfone 7 Pro costs $950.
